CHECK THE HOT LINE FOR LATEST TEAM INFORMATION The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in cooperation with other federal, state, and local agencies, created The National Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Response System to provide a national heavy rescue capability that provides lifesaving resources to victims of structural collapse. It was particularly designed to rescue victims entrapped in collapsed structures of heavy reinforced concrete construction. When this system was developed in 1990, there was limited capability in only a few states to perform this mission, and no resources available for a national response. 2009 Team Training Calendar (30 June 09) 2010 Team Training Calendar (30 June 09) NEW-Team Application Packet is now on line (5 MAY 2009) Urban Search & Rescue Structural Collapse Awareness training (LINK 19 May 2009) OSHA RESPIRATORY PROTECTION CLASS (Power Point) 2009 NM-TF1 Training Calendar (revised 8 May 2009) On Line Courses posted (Revised 18 February 2009) NEW ON LINE COURSES POSTED 23 February 2009 •
